Hello world! We’re The Flow, a collection of Bay Area musicians including a group of core guys that have been on and around the scene for a long time working with a variety of local artists and projects. We’ve recently come together to fill a void in the local music scene by bringing new and creative music to the Bay and beyond that speaks to us, and that we hope speaks to you as well. Coming from traditions of soul, jazz, funk, blues and R&B, with a little bit of rock for good measure, and playing live instruments, there’s no denying a strong old-school vibe to the ensemble. But rather than looking backwards, the band members embrace their roots while setting out to create, record and perform new material - both vocal and instrumental - that we hope will catch your ear and move your feet. And don't worry if you're in a mood to lean back and chill, because you'll find Flow cuts that will take you there as well.

We hope you’ll check out our debut EP "In the Flow". These tunes were self-recorded locally in Fremont, CA and are labors of love. Given the devastation and uncertainty that’s going on in our region, country and world as of this writing, we like to think that good music can provide solace, uplift and resolve to keep us all going another day. From the jazzy piano-led “Nighttime” with its driving rhythm-section backing, to the soulful vocals of “In the Flow”, to the “out there-ness” of “Sneaky Aliens”, this collection simultaneously throws back to the days of bands with full instrumental line-ups while establishing a new and most definitely grooving vibe.

So, as we work our way through these challenging times together, we hope you’ll check back often for updates on future performances and venues where you can experience the joy and healing of new music in a live "Flow" outing. And lest we forget, if you have a corporate or private event where you want your guests to enjoy live jazz during their cocktail/dinner hour, or step out on the dance floor to a mix of classic R&B tunes (with a Flow twist) from the 70’s up through today’s hits, we’ve got you covered.
